The one year anniversary of typhoon Haiyan has just passed and yet another life threatening typhoon is hitting the same area. AnakBayan San Diego (ABSD) and the Kuya Ate Mentorship Program (KAMP) invite you to an open mic with DJ Olibata of Elevated Masses supporting the struggles of our people who are still suffering from the effects of Haiyan, Hagupit, and other natural disasters.
There will be a $5-$20 sliding scale suggested donation at the door, although no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. All proceeds will benefit the National Alliance for Filipino Concerns (NAFCON) Typhoon Relief Program.
NAFCON is a national multi-issue alliance of Filipino organizations and individuals in the United States serving to protect the rights and welfare of Filipinos by fighting for social, economic, and racial justice and equality.
