Anakbayan San Diego would like to invite you and your organization to the Baliksambayanan Reportback: Return to the Homeland on Saturday, December 8th 2012, 6- 9pm at Headquarter’s Café (5841 El Cajon Boulevard San Diego, CA 92115).
The Baliksambayanan Reportack is an evening that will highlight the experiences of Anakbayan, San Diego and Los Angeles members in collaboration with the Inter-Faith Medical Mission who visited various communities in the Philippines.
Baliksambayanan exposure trips are intended to deepen the understanding of the concrete connections between Filipinos in the United States and in the Philippines by studying and bringing awareness to the rich and proud Filipino heritage.
As Anakbayan members it is our duty to renew our Filipino culture and history, define our present situation as Filipinos all over the world, come to a proper understanding of how to remedy our current condition, and take action on issues of poverty, landlessness, education; workers’, women’s, and indigenous rights.
